About the Conductor - Victor Maslennikov

«Viktor Maslennikov» was born in Russia 1949, graduated from the Ufimskiy State Institute of Arts in 1978 in Russia, faculty of choir conductors. From 1978 he lived in Minsk, Belarus. He sang for five years in the State Academy Choir in Minsk.

Long time worked Docent at the chair of choir conductors in Belorussian State Teachers University. From 1980 he worked at the Belorussian State Teachers University in Minsk. He taught the choir conductors. From 1987 till the present time he conducted the Girl’s Choir «Raniza» of the National Center for Youth and Children in Minsk.

The choir was in many west-European countries (France, Belgium, Italy, Holland, Germany, Austria etc. In 1996 the choir received the title “Narodnyi Choir” (The Best Country Choir). The repertoire of the choir is very various. The choir sings a-capella also contemporary, classical, folk and church music. Now the choir is one of the leading choirs in Belarus.

In the period 1998-2012, the choir won a number of prestigious national and international awards (mainly 1st and 2nd prizes) at competitions and festivals in France, Belgium, Italy, Germany, Austria , the Netherlands, Poland, Switzerland etc. The choir has performed in several countries in Europe to perform concert series or competitions receiving several prizes.
